Recovery Worker - Drug and Alcohol Team

Are you passionate about supporting individuals struggling with alcohol dependency? Belmont Recruitment is seeking an experienced Recovery Worker to join the Alcohol Team at a respected private charity in Scunthorpe. This role offers a chance to make a real difference in the lives of individuals on their journey to recovery.

About the Role:

As a Recovery Worker, you’ll provide comprehensive support to clients with alcohol dependency, guiding them through their recovery journey. You’ll work closely with a multidisciplinary team, offering tailored interventions and promoting harm reduction strategies to help clients achieve lasting change.

Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Managing a caseload of clients with alcohol dependency, developing person‑centred recovery plans.
  • Conducting assessments to identify client needs, risks, and goals.
  • Delivering harm reduction advice and structured interventions, including relapse prevention.
  • Facilitating one‑to‑one and group recovery sessions.
  • Liaising with external services to ensure seamless care coordination.
What You’ll Need:
  • Enhanced DBS clearance (essential).
  • Experience working with drug and alcohol dependent clients in a recovery‑focused setting.
  • Strong knowledge of harm reduction, safeguarding, and alcohol misuse interventions.
  • Excellent communication and case management skills.
