Recovery Worker - Durham

£20 per hour | Full-time contract | Immediate start | Belmont Recruitment

Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced Recovery Worker to join a busy and supportive drug and alcohol service in Durham.

The successful candidate will manage a caseload of clients, deliver one-to-one psychosocial interventions, and work closely with the clinical team to support individuals throughout their recovery journey.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of clients with substance misuse needs
  • Deliver structured 1-1 psychosocial interventions to support recovery and relapse prevention
  • Complete comprehensive assessments and develop person-centred recovery plans
  • Liaise with prescribers and have sound knowledge of prescribing regimes and medication reviews
  • Maintain accurate case records and contribute to multi-agency meetings
Requirements
  • Previous experience within a substance misuse or recovery setting
  • Strong caseload management and assessment skills
  • Understanding of harm reduction, OST (Opiate Substitute Therapy), and prescribing frameworks
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (essential)
