Substance Misuse Recovery Worker - Tyne & Wear

Are you passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of others? We are currently seeking a dedicated Substance Misuse Recovery Worker to join our dynamic team in Tyne & Wear.

In this role, you will support individuals on their recovery journey, delivering structured interventions, harm reduction support, and tailored recovery plans. You'll work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the best outcomes for service users. This is a full‑time temporary role, working 9 am–5 pm, Monday to Friday, for an initial 3–6 month contract.

Pay: Up to £23 per hour (umbrella rate)

£18.14 per hour exclusive of holiday pay
£20.33 per hour inclusive of holiday pay

What We're Looking For:
  • Experience in substance misuse, mental health, or a related field
  • Ability to manage a caseload and deliver person‑centred support
  • Strong communication and partnership working skills
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting wellbeing
  • Deliver One-to-One interventions
  • Experience of working within the Substance Misuse field
  • Awareness of health issues relating to Substance Misuse
  • Experience of Key Working and Care Planning
