Recovery Worker – Substance Misuse

£17–£21 per hour | Rolling Contract | Charity Sector

Belmont Recruitment is currently seeking experienced Recovery Workers to join a reputable private charity making a real difference in the community. This is a fantastic opportunity to support individuals on their recovery journey while working in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Details
  • Contract: Rolling contract (minimum 3 months) with potential for long-term extension
  • Pay Rate: £17–£21 per hour (depending on experience)
  • Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday–Friday
Role Overview

As a Recovery Worker, you will :

  • Manage a caseload of individuals with complex drug misuse needs
  • Deliver tailored interventions through structured recovery plans
  • Facilitate both 1 : 1 and group sessions
  • Collaborate with detox teams to ensure integrated care
  • Provide harm reduction advice, BBV interventions, and treatment recovery support
Ideal Candidate
  • Prior experience in substance misuse or recovery work
  • Strong knowledge of harm reduction strategies and BBV awareness
  • Confident in delivering both individual and group support
  • Able to work autonomously and within multi-disciplinary teams
