Job summary

A mental health service provider is seeking a Peer Support Practitioner in Ramsgate to provide support to individuals with mental health needs. You will assist in recovery-focused practices, establish supportive relationships, and empower service users to manage their mental health. Ideal candidates have lived experience in mental health services and a passion for helping others. Competitive salary range from £24,973 to £26,598 per annum, pro rata.

Qualifications

• Lived experience of mental health problems and willingness to share own life experiences.
• Experience of working or volunteering with people with mental health problems.
• Ability to demonstrate recovery-focused practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist in providing a safe and caring environment.
• Establish supportive relationships with service users.
• Support service users in managing their own mental health.
• Model recovery processes and empower service users.
