Job summary

Practice Plus Group in Devizes is seeking a Recovery Practitioner to join our Theatre team, delivering high-quality care in the immediate post-operative period and supporting safe patient journeys in a fast-paced surgical environment.

You must be a Registered Nurse (NMC Level 1) or HCPC-registered ODP with at least 2 years’ acute-care experience, strong communication, teamwork and a patient-focused approach. Salary £44,373.07 per year.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse Level 1 (NMC) or HCPC registration.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in an acute clinical environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to prioritise workload and remain calm under pressure.
• Flexible, positive and patient-focused approach.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and learning.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and care for patients after surgery and anaesthesia.
• Plan, implement and evaluate individual patient care.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anaesthetists and the MDT.
• Prepare patients safely for discharge after recovery.
• Maintain high clinical standards, safety and infection control.
• Support junior colleagues and contribute to department development.
• Participate in audits, governance and quality improvement.
