Are you highly organised, detail-oriented, and passionate about data protection and confidentiality? Somerset NHS Foundation Trust is looking for a Records Access and Disclosure Officer to join our Information Governance team. This is a vital role ensuring compliance with the Data Protection Act 2018, GDPR, Access to Health Records Act 1990, and the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

Primary responsibilities
  • Processing Data Access and Freedom of Information requests accurately and within statutory timescales.
  • Retrieving and collating patient records from multiple sources.
  • Screening records to ensure confidentiality and compliance with legislation.
  • Communicating sensitively with patients, relatives, and professionals.
  • Maintaining accurate records on our RADAR system and producing correspondence.
