Job description

Salary up to £41,227 per annum plus a £2,000 South East Allowance (If based at Culham) and a generous benefits package. Based at Culham, Oxfordshire, or Griffin Park, Calderbridge, Cumbria (hybrid working). Permanent, 37.5 hours per week.

Position Overview

We’re looking for a BPSS (Business Process System Support) Reconciliation & Maintenance Officer to join our BPSS Support and Development team. The BPSS team provides oversight of the Enabling Services responsible for managing corporate efficiency and business development across the CNC. In this role you will work with a multi‑disciplinary team of specialists, responsible for the management of integrated data and testing for business systems and their supporting processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage audit requirements, coordinating with workstream leads to ensure this is completed in line with audit timescales and requirements.
  • Act as the Subject Matter Expert in future projects, implementations and upgrades to BPSS systems; working with CNC project teams and suppliers.
  • Support the Development Manager in end‑to‑end testing across the BPSS suite of systems, coordinating system managers and testers, ensuring interdependencies are taken into account during testing, raising testing faults with System Admin / Managed Service Partner and monitoring their progression to resolution.
  • Support the Development Manager and DM with system changes or new integrations.
  • Manage and progress assigned Jira tickets.
To be successful you will have the following experience and skills
  • Experience of implementing, or assisting the implementation, of system upgrades.
  • Ability to use a range of ERP systems and exact data (Use of Power BI, Apex, Oracle Cloud Reporting, or similar).
  • Excellent Excel and spreadsheet skills and document writing skills.
  • Good communication, interpersonal and influencing skills.
  • Organisation, ability to prioritise workload, time and deadline conscious, excellent attention to detail.
  • Research and analytical skills, including analysing, interpreting data sets and presenting data in a concise format.
  • Strong listening and recording skills with an ability to pay attention to detail.
  • Capable of working unsupervised.
  • The ability to travel (a driving licence is essential).
Travel

There will be occasional travel to other sites. A driving licence is essential for this position in order to access these. Travel and accommodation will be paid for by the CNC.
