Overview

Bangor University – Student & Academic Services: Campus Services: The Management Centre.
Receptionist (Part‑time) x 2 (Ref: BU03908)– Grade 3: £23,815‑£23,881 pro‑rata plus 50p per hour supplement.
We are inviting applications for two permanent part‑time Receptionists, working 16 hours per week in the Management Centre Reception department.

Responsibilities
  • Undertake reception duties at the Management Centre.
  • Meet and greet all visitors to the centre.
  • Efficiently deal with all individuals contacting the centre by telephone or email.
  • Be available for part‑time or job‑share arrangements as required.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience working in a hotel or customer‑led environment, with experience as a first point of contact.
  • Experience dealing with senior members of staff on matters of sensitivity and confidentiality.
  • Minimum of four GCSEs at grades A*‑D, including English and Maths, or NVQ level 1 in a relevant subject area (or equivalent experience).
Start Date

The successful candidate will be expected to commence as soon as possible.

Language Requirement

Ability to speak Welsh confidently is essential for this post (e.g. speaking to staff and students, answering phone calls, dealing with urgent enquiries in Welsh).
Welsh speaking will be used on a regular basis.
