A leading UK healthcare provider is seeking a Receptionist for Older Peoples Medicine. You will assist with reception and clerical tasks, input patient information, and support a busy outpatient department. You will be trained to use the electronic patient system (PAS), along with all relevant administrative skills, and will contribute to and support a very busy, committed, and hard-working team
The post holder will provide a high-quality reception and support service within the Outpatients Department, and as such, will need to be able to communicate well with patients and their relatives, the public and a wide range of multi-professional staff, internal and external to the Trust. To provide a support service to the technical staff, a versatile approach is essential and the ability to cope with many different tasks simultaneously is a prerequisite of this post.
To input codes onto PAS for all RTT, HRG and local procedures.
The Receptionist is responsible for ensuring the correct and timely input of patient information onto the Patient Administration System (PAS), observing the rules of 'real time data entry'. All aspects of this role should be carried out in line with Trust Policies and Procedures on data collection and confidentiality. Confidentiality in all matters is of the utmost importance.
