A leading healthcare organization is looking for a proactive receptionist to manage all reception duties and assist patients in navigating care services. The role demands excellent customer service skills, a warm demeanor, and the ability to perform clerical tasks. Ideally, candidates should have experience in a GP practice, but training is offered to suitable candidates. This is an opportunity to work in a supportive environment focused on patient well-being and efficient care coordination.
You will be incentivised in the form of a revised pay if you have a recent experience of working in a GP surgery. This role works across all reception duties. Not only will the post holder work as an efficient and effective receptionist but will proactively identify and work with people, including the frail/elderly and those with long-term conditions, to provide coordination and navigation of care and support across health and care services.
The duties and responsibilities to be undertaken by members of the practice administration team may include any or all of the items in the following list. Duties may be varied from time to time under the direction of the practice management, dependent on current and evolving practice workload and staffing levels.
Hampton Medical Centre sits at the very heart of the new township for Peterborough. The Hamptons are a series of villages sitting less than 4 miles from Peterborough City centre, Cambridgeshire. With 6 villages delivered to date and developments ongoing for Hampton Woods and Hampton Beach.
The practice size is around 12,800 patients, working from a dedicated surgery based within Serpentine Green shopping centre. There are 2 GP partners, 5 GPs, various nurse practitioners, pharmacists, social prescribers, care coordinators and administration staff. Hampton Medical Centre is a teaching practice, hosting medical students, FY2 and GP registrars.
