A leading healthcare organization in Cambridge is seeking a motivated individual to join the Emergency Department Reception Team. The successful candidate will provide a professional reception service, ensuring all patients are registered promptly and correctly. Strong communication and IT skills are essential. Previous healthcare experience is desirable, and flexibility for various shifts is necessary. The role includes various administrative duties to support clinical staff and maintain a collaborative team culture.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Emergency Department Reception Team. We are looking for a motivated individual with excellent communication skills who can work accurately and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
You will provide a professional, patient-focused Reception service, ensuring all patients attending the Emergency Department are registered promptly and correctly. You will handle face-to-face and telephone enquiries from patients, relatives and other departments, and will undertake a range of administrative duties to support the smooth running of the service.
The role requires strong IT skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well as part of a team. You should be able to remain calm under pressure and demonstrate a friendly and approachable manner at all times. You must be able to provide flexibility according to service needs. Please note the available shifts include afternoons, evenings, nights and weekends.
Previous experience in a hospital or healthcare environment is desirable; however, full training will be provided.
