Joining the Lancashire Care Dental Service

The Lancashire Care Dental Service is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and highly motivated Receptionist to join our dental team. We provide a number of services including special care, urgent care, paediatric dentistry, and teaching across Central and East Lancashire.

Working Hours and Schedule

The base for this post will be at Oak House Dental Centre, Accrington. The role may require you to work flexibly over 7 days, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays on a rota basis.

  • Week 1 – Mon – Wed 08:30am to 5:00pm, Thurs – Fri 1:00pm to 9:30pm
  • Week 2 – Mon – Wed 1:00pm to 9:30pm, Thurs 08:30am to 5:00pm and Fri 08:30am to 4:30pm
Responsibilities
  • Book appointments and manage the daily running of dental treatment services.
  • Deal with telephone and counter enquiries from the public, other health care professionals, and dentists.
  • Provide clerical assistance to clinicians and senior staff.
Requirements
  • Excellent communication, initiative, drive and teamwork skills.
  • Effective interpersonal skills enabling communication at all levels, face to face and over the telephone.
  • Enhanced criminal records check required.
