A local healthcare provider in Burnham Market is seeking a proactive receptionist to join their team on a full-time basis. This role involves greeting patients, managing appointments, and handling queries, along with maintaining accurate patient records. Successful candidates should possess strong customer service skills, excellent communication abilities, and some IT knowledge. Previous experience in a healthcare setting is desirable. The role demands flexibility and a calm, caring approach to patient interactions.
The Burnhams Surgery has an opportunity for an enthusiastic and proactive receptionist to join our team on a full time basis, working a minimum of 25 hours a week, to be worked over 5 days. The receptionist plays a pivotal role in the experience of patients at our practice, helping them to access the right services and dealing with their queries face-to-face, online and by telephone.
General practice is a challenging environment that requires a calm and caring approach with the ability to work under pressure. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated team player who has customer service/patient experience and offers excellent communication skills.
The Burnham Surgery is a small GP Practice on the Norfolk coast rated as Good by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
It provides care to around 4,200 patients in and around Burnham Market.
In January 2022 the Burnham Market partners joined with Wells Health Centre and the two sites are running as sister sites within the same partnership.
The reception team is a small, friendly, and busy and efficient team who pride themselves on being the front face of the practice.
The successful candidate will work closely with the reception team to make sure we are constantly providing our patients with the greatest care possible and supporting each other in doing so.
You will be key member of the reception team, answering calls into the surgery, speaking with patients face to face at the reception desk, booking appointments, sign posting patients, amending clinics as well as other reception duties. The role also encompasses other duties such as scanning, summarising, and coding as well as other administrative areas.
