Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group is seeking a warm and dedicated Receptionist for Derby Heights Care Home in Littleover, Derby. You will be the first point of contact, delivering high-quality customer service and administrative support to residents, families, and staff.

You will handle calls, manage reception duties, and help maintain a welcoming environment in line with Avery’s caring values while using computers to update records and coordinate with teams.

• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
• Confident in using computers.
• Positive, friendly and welcoming attitude.

Responsibilities

• Answer the telephone and respond to enquiries at reception, directing calls to relevant staff and recording messages accordingly.
• Complete reception-related administration, maintain databases, and provide administrative assistance as required by the General Manager.
• Maintain the general tidiness of the reception area, liaising with Housekeeping to ensure standards are maintained.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus as a receptionist will be to offer professional, high quality customer service as first point of contact within the home as well as providing a range of administrative services.

Other responsibilities will include:

• Answering the telephone and responding to enquiries at reception, redirecting calls to relevant staff and recording messages accordingly.
• Completingreception-related administration,maintainingdatabases,and providing administrativeassistanceas required by the General Manager.
• Maintainingthe general tidiness of the reception area, liaising with Housekeeping to ensure standards aremaintained.
