Job description
Overview

Receptionist required to support the Axess Sexual Health service in Liverpool. Band 2, Permanent contract, 37.5 hours per week, working across sites with Saturday rota.

Responsibilities
  • Working on reception desks across the city, checking patients into the system for their appointments and providing telephone triage.
  • Support basic patient triage and deliver excellent customer service.
  • Work across the city centre and Garston sites; clinics open Monday to Saturday up to 7pm with varied shifts (8:30–16:30, 10:30–18:30, 11:00–19:00).
What you will be doing

The service currently works across multiple sites and is developing specialist clinics and outreach services. You will be part of a team delivering patient reception and intake across locations including The Beat, Royal Liverpool Hospital, South Liverpool Treatment Centre, and in the near future Aintree Hospital.

Requirements

Essential criteria

  • GCSE or NVQ2 or equivalent experience
  • IT literate
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively within teams
  • Ability to work in a confidential and sensitive manner
  • Ability to plan, prioritise and schedule work
  • Self-motivated, able to work on own initiative and with attention to detail

Desirable criteria
