The successful candidate will work at our Garden Park Branch. Hours of work per week will be 27, between 8am and 6pm Monday to Friday.

JOB TITLE: PRACTICE ADMINISTRATOR / RECEPTIONIST
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
JOB SUMMARY: To be responsible for undertaking a wide range of administrative duties. To act as the focal point of contact and be responsible for the dissemination of information, messages and enquiries for the medical team, liaising with multidisciplinary team members, other health professionals and staff within the practice.
Confidentiality: In the course of seeking treatment, patients entrust us with sensitive information and have the right to expect privacy. All information is to be treated as confidential in line with practice policies and information governance.
The post-holder will assist in promoting and maintaining health, safety and security as defined in the practice Health & Safety Policy, including identifying risks, training, infection control, and maintaining a tidy, safe work environment.
The post-holder will support equality, diversity and rights of patients, carers and colleagues; respect privacy and dignity; be welcoming and non-judgmental.
The post-holder will participate in training, be responsible for personal development and performance, and demonstrate skills to others undertaking similar work.
Maintain quality, alert team to quality and risk issues, assess own performance, and contribute to team effectiveness and service delivery.
Recognize the importance of effective communication within the team and with patients and carers; adapt communication methods as needed.

Experience of working in Primary Care within a GP Practice would be desirable.
Experience: telephone operation, Microsoft Office, and working with the public/patients.
