Overview

Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board is the largest health organisation in Wales, providing primary, community, mental, acute and elective services to a population of around 700,000 across North Wales. The East Primary Care Team is looking for an experienced, organised and enthusiastic Receptionist to work at Panton Surgery, Holywell.

Responsibilities
  • Book appointments and manage patient queries via telephone and in person.
  • Handle telephone calls with a confident telephone manner and excellent communication skills.
  • Perform a variety of administrative duties, including data inputting and office assistance, to support the smooth day‑to‑day running of the practice.
  • Ad hoc support at other Health Board managed GP practices in the East area to meet service needs and cover staff absences.
Qualifications
  • Experience working in a GP practice is desirable; knowledge of the EMIS clinical system is desirable, but training can be given.
  • Proficient IT skills, including experience of Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication skills and a confident telephone manner.
  • Experience working in a healthcare setting or a customer service environment.
  • Willingness to learn Welsh following appointment to the post.
  • Willingness to work at other Health Board managed GP practices on an ad hoc basis.
