Job Overview
Protect our customer's property, people, and assets by providing security services in accordance with the site’s published Assignment Instructions (AI’s) and any subsequent changes.
Responsibilities
- Deliver results that meet or exceed key performance indicators / Service Level Agreement for the customer, fostering retention of the contract.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, legal, and regulatory requirements as directed by the Security Account Manager and in accordance with UK law and guidance bodies.
- Complete all tasks and duties on site as defined within the published Assignment Instructions.
- Proactively review the Assignment Instructions for changes or suggestions that could enhance service levels.
- Maintain compliance with industry and statutory legislation, including front‑line licensing for Security Guarding or Door Supervision, and the Customer’s CCTV PSS SIA Licence.
- Follow instructions and procedures appropriately while avoiding unnecessary challenges to authority.
- Work systematically, methodically, and in an orderly fashion.
Training & Development
- Complete required competency training and ongoing professional development.
- Utilise technology to achieve key work objectives and enhance job knowledge.
- Renew licence 16 weeks before expiry.
Security and Health & Safety
- Spot and immediately report any health & safety hazards or potential hazards on site.
- Stay alert to threats or changes in the work environment and take appropriate action to reduce risk of disruption, loss, or damage.
- Use common sense and initiative, involving others if a situation becomes threatening.
- Maintain professional conduct in challenging situations and with difficult customers.
- Complete accurate, detailed notebook entries after incidents, supporting the Incident Report process.
- Adhere to scheduled check calls as stipulated in the Assignment Instructions.
- Call emergency services and the Communication Centre to report all incidents.
- Show commitment to Mitie and the client by keeping to schedules.
What We Are Looking For
- Previous security experience.
- SIA Licence.
- SC Clearance desirable.
