A recruitment agency for the automotive sector seeks a receptionist for a busy accident repair centre in Burgess Hill. This front-of-house role involves welcoming customers, managing calls and bookings, and supporting daily administration for the workshop team. The ideal candidate will have prior reception or customer service experience and strong communication skills. Good IT skills and a customer-focused approach are essential. Previous experience in the motor trade is advantageous but not required.

kolt recruitment are looking for a receptionist for a busy accident repair centre based in Burgess Hill. This is a front-of-house role welcoming customers, managing calls and bookings, and supporting the workshop team with day-to-day administration. Ideal for someone from an automotive, bodyshop or service reception background, but strong reception/admin candidates from other industries will also be considered.

Key responsibilities
  • Meet and greet customers, providing a professional and friendly first point of contact
  • Answer and direct incoming calls, take accurate messages and handle enquiries
  • Book vehicles in for estimates and repairs
  • Keep customers updated on progress, repair status and collection times
  • Liaise with estimators, technicians and management to ensure smooth workflow
  • Process paperwork for jobs, invoices, courtesy cars and insurance work
  • Maintain reception area standards and general office administration
Requirements
  • Previous reception, service advisor or customer service experience
  • Strong communication skills and a confident telephone manner
  • Good IT skills and ability to pick up new systems quickly
  • Organised, accurate and able to manage a busy workload
  • Professional, polite and customer-focused at all times
  • Motor trade / bodyshop / accident repair experience is an advantage but not essential
