Join a friendly, supportive accountancy practice in Pickering, where you’ll be the first point of contact for clients and play a key role in keeping the office running smoothly.

You’ll become part of a close-knit team of four to five people who are welcoming, down to earth, and genuinely enjoy working together, with your experience as an administrator valued and put to good use every day.

Some of the Receptionist & Administrator duties are:

  • Meeting and greeting clients and visitors in a professional, welcoming manner, ensuring a positive first impression of the business
  • Preparing meeting rooms by ensuring they are clean, well-presented, and fully equipped ahead of client meetings and internal discussions
  • Answering incoming calls and providing excellent customer service and support
  • Keeping reception calendars up to date with appointments, meetings, and holidays
  • Logging and distributing incoming post and managing outgoing mail, including franking and taking it to the Post Office
  • Managing general office administration such as filing, typing letters, stationery orders, and archiving
  • Assisting with account-related paperwork, including tax returns, petty cash and weekly banking, with full training provided to support your development

You’ll be a warm, personable team player who enjoys helping others and creating a great first impression for clients.

Strong administrative skills and attention to detail are key, along with the confidence to manage a variety of office tasks.

This is a part-time position, 2–3 days per week, Monday to Friday 7:45am-4pm or 8:45am-5pm with a 45-minute lunch, earning a salary between £12.50-£13.00, depending on experience.
