About the role

Day‑to‑day duties of the role will include:

  • Answering phones and booking appointments.
  • Responding to queries via phone, in person and email.
  • Registering new clients.
  • Completing insurance forms.
  • Dispensing medications.
  • Taking payments.
  • Providing a warm and welcoming experience to our clients arriving at the practice.
What we’re looking for in our Veterinary Receptionist
  • Previous Receptionist experience is essential, veterinary experience is a plus!
  • Resilient with the ability to cope with potentially distressing and emotional situations.
  • Excellent communicator with strong empathy.
  • Excellent customer service skills and experience in dealing with members of the public.
  • Positive attitude and excellent teamwork skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other database management and operating systems.
