Job summary

Kingston Vets Hospital in Hull is seeking a friendly, organised Receptionist for a part-time permanent role. You will be the first point of contact for clients, manage appointments, handle inquiries, take payments, and ensure a welcoming and professional experience for every visitor.

Working pattern is 2 x 10 hour shifts per week, one on Saturday. You will collaborate with clinical and non-clinical colleagues to support smooth running of the practice and provide a positive client and patient

We are seeking an organised, personable Receptionist to join our team at Kingston Vets on a part-time permanent basis.

Kingston Vet Group is one of the fastest growing practices in East Yorkshire with a very busy but varied caseload. The group have five well-equipped branch surgeries which are supported by a fantastic Tier 3 Hospital, with complete diagnostic suite including CT and MRI.

The group offer a variety of referral services. The group have a fantastic and hardworking team of 19 committed veterinary surgeons, dedicated RVN's and a friendly, enthusiastic, support team.

We aim to offer consistency and high standards of client care to ensure that we can offer a high-quality service. Staff welfare and job satisfaction is prioritised at Kingston Vet Group. Vets Now Emergency work out of our Park Street site meaning that there is no need to transfer hospitalised patients between sites. How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for clients, playing a key role in delivering a welcoming, professional and compassionate experience at every interaction.

You’ll support the smooth running of the practice by managing appointments, handling enquiries, supporting client communications and working closely with clinical and non-clinical colleagues to ensure a positive client and patient journey.

Working Pattern

• 2 x 10 hour shifts per week. One shift will be on a Saturday

Key Responsibilities

As the first point of contact for our clients in a busy environment you will be required to ensure all clients and their pets have a comfortable and positive experience within the surgery, meeting and greeting clients, answering the telephone to a broad range of enquiries that relate to pet’s welfare, booking appointments, signing up new clients, looking into first level financial queries, taking payments, record keeping and providing information on our products and services such as our Pet Health Club ensuring no clinical advice is given whilst maintaining a clean clinical environment in waiting and consult rooms.
