Job Title: Receptionist (Temporary)

Hours: Thursdays & Fridays 9:00–17:00

Additional Cover: Monday–Friday when primary receptionist is on leave

Pay Rate: £13 per hour

Job Description

We are recruiting on behalf of a vibrant sports club looking for a receptionist on a temporary basis. This role is essential in ensuring a welcoming and efficient front‑of‑house experience for all visitors, members, and service users.

As the first point of contact, you will play a key role in maintaining smooth day‑to‑day operations within the club, supporting management teams, and ensuring reception standards are upheld at all times.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the face of the sports club, welcoming visitors and service users in a professional and personable manner.
  • Handle all inbound telephone calls, directing them to the appropriate staff or departments.
  • Check and confirm availability of sports pitches for bookings and enquiries.
  • Monitor the enquiries inbox, responding where appropriate or forwarding messages to relevant team members.
  • Maintain close and constant communication with the Events Manager, General Manager, Sports Club Managers, and other key staff.
  • Regularly check and replenish leaflets and promotional materials displayed at reception.
  • Ensure coffee stations in the reception area remain clean, stocked, and fully operational.
  • Maintain a clean, tidy, and presentable reception area at all times, upholding high appearance standards in line with the club’s expectations.
