Weekend Receptionist

£12.60 - £13.60 per hour. Permanent contract.

Weekends only (Saturday & Sunday 9am – 5pm with 30 min break). 15 hours per week.

Westcombe Park is a modern care home located in a pleasant leafy neighbourhood of south‑east London. We warmly welcome residents in need of nursing or residential care and also provide respite and convalescence care. Every bedroom is thoughtfully decorated to create a warm, homely atmosphere; most are en suite and we offer double rooms for couples. The home is close to local transport links, just a few minutes’ drive from the A2 and a bus route stops directly outside, making visiting easier. It is also a short walk to local amenities, shops and a bank. Staff focus on the person, ensuring residents feel at home in a friendly environment that balances care and independence. Our chefs craft well‑made menus with fresh ingredients, catering to all ethnic groups, and we discuss personal preferences and dietary needs with each resident soon after arrival. A real sense of community means that activities are organised around the interests of residents, encouraging them to continue hobbies or explore new ones.

You’ll Help Us Make Health Happen By
  • Act as the first point of contact for all visitors to the home.
  • Manage new enquiries.
  • Provide advice and support face‑to‑face and over the phone.
  • Conduct show‑arounds within the care home.
  • Support the Home Manager and Administrator with clerical duties such as maintaining paperwork and filing.
  • Deal with enquiries in a timely manner and ensure daily and weekly tasks are completed.
Key Skills / Qualifications Needed For This Role

You have worked as a Receptionist before, providing excellent customer service with a friendly manner both face‑to‑face and over the phone. You are approachable, organised, and able to build strong relationships with residents, their families and internal teams. Dedicated and efficient, you can handle a varied workload while your caring attitude underpins everything you do – to make a real difference to people’s lives.
