Job Summary

Job Title: Receptionist

Salary: £16,424.10 per annum

Contract: Permanent, Part Time

Hours: 25 hours per week

Shift Pattern: The applicant will have to accommodate 2 shift patterns (one week- the morning shift will be from 07:00 to 13:00, and the following week, the afternoon shift will be from 13:00 to 18:00)

Location: MOD Abbey Wood, Bristol, Bristol, England, BS34 8JH

Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join an experienced and versatile team, delivering top-notch services at MoD Abbey Wood. Previous security clearance is encouraged but not essential for applicants. We are seeking a full-time, enthusiastic, and adaptable Receptionist, responsible for Access Control. The successful candidate will have the professional capability to multitask and carry out a variety of tasks to ensure smooth day‑to‑day Reception Services, including assisting with access control at the visitor car park when needed. Training will be provided where necessary.

Responsibilities
  • Providing reception services as the first point of contact for general inquiries and all persons wishing to enter the facility.
  • Assisting with the controlled access of entitled personnel onto the site.
  • Helping at the visitor car park when required.
  • Other reasonable tasks may be assigned, such as covering for other team members and performing building management and access control duties.
  • Actively promoting a safe working culture and adhering to health and safety procedures, processes, and laws.
