A local healthcare provider in the UK is looking for a Receptionist to undertake various reception duties and provide general support to the multidisciplinary team. To be responsible for undertaking a wide range of reception duties and the provision of general support to the multidisciplinary team. Duties can include but are not limited to, greeting and directing patients, effective use of the appointment system, booking appointments, processing of information and assisting patients as required. To act as the central point of contact for patients, the distribution of information, messages and enquiries for the clinical team, liaising with multidisciplinary team members and external agencies such as secondary care and community service providers.
The GP surgery is based at Pontllanfraith HealthCentre and is a busy single site practice with a stable list size of approx 8900 patients.

The following are the core responsibilities of the receptionist, however this list is not exhaustive and other duties and responsibilities may be added that fall in line with the general role and responsibilities of this post. This may include any or all of the duties listed, and may vary from time to time under the direction of the Practice Manager, dependent on current and evolving practice workload. This will be dependent upon factors such as workload, staffing levels and staff competency.
Experience
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
