Job description

We are currently recruiting for a Front of House Receptionist to join a well-established food and drinks supplier on a temporary part time basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a friendly, professional and organised individual who enjoys meeting and interacting with people and takes pride in providing an excellent first impression.

As the first point of contact for visitors and callers, you will play an important role in ensuring the reception area runs smoothly and that everyone who visits the business receives a warm and professional welcome.

Key Responsibilities
  • Acting as the first point of contact for visitors, clients, suppliers and contractors
  • Welcoming guests into the business in a friendly and professional manner
  • Signing visitors in and notifying the relevant member of staff when they arrive
  • Managing meeting room bookings and preparing rooms for meetings where required
  • Answering and transferring incoming telephone calls
  • Taking accurate messages and ensuring they are passed to the appropriate person
  • Dealing with general enquiries from visitors and callers
  • Managing incoming and outgoing post and deliveries
  • Maintaining a clean, tidy and professional reception area
  • Providing general administrative and clerical support to the wider team
  • Ordering office and reception supplies when required
  • Assisting with meeting arrangements and refreshments
  • Supporting the business with other general reception and administrative duties as required
About You

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Friendly, approachable and professional
  • Confident communicating with people at all levels
  • Polite and helpful with a strong customer-service approach
  • Organised and able to manage multiple tasks
  • Reliable, punctual and well presented
  • Comfortable answering telephone calls and dealing with enquiries
  • Confident using basic computer systems, including email and Microsoft Office
  • Able to work independently while also being part of a wider team
  • Previous reception, front-of-house or administrative experience would be advantageous, but attitude and personality are equally important
The Role

This is a customer-facing position where your personality and professionalism will make a real difference. You will be responsible for creating a positive first impression of the business, whether someone is visiting for a meeting, making a delivery or simply calling the office.
