A local healthcare practice in Huddersfield is seeking a Reception Team Leader to manage the reception team and ensure smooth operations. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience as a GP practice receptionist and 2 years in a leadership role. The Woodhouse Hill Surgery is situated in Fartown with 4,500 patients; we are a training practice offering a variety of services to our Practice Population. We are looking to recruit an Reception Team Leader to join our friendly team and to assist with the smooth running of the Practice. The purpose of the role is to offer general assistance to the practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors
Flexibility is required to cover the surgery's 8:00 am-6:30 pm opening hours Monday-Friday, plus extended access early openings and late closure extended access hours. Also to cover for annual leave and sickness. The shift pattern will be discussed at interview.
The main duties will be to provide face to face first point of contact for patients and to act as a focal point of communication between patients, doctors and other medical staff. You must answer the telephone, book appointments and other related tasks.

Minimum 3 years experience as a GP practice receptionist essential.
Minimum 2 years leadership experience in a GP practice essential.
Proficiency with SystmOne medical system essential.
Strong multitasking abilities and excellent written and verbal English.
Understanding and adherence to strict confidentiality.
Willingness to undergo a DBS check.
