Contract: Full-Time | Long-Term / Fixed Term

A vibrant and inclusive primary school in Tooting is looking to appoint a motivated and nurturing Reception Class Teacher to join their Early Years team from January 2026. This role is perfect for a dedicated EYFS professional who is passionate about giving young learners the very best start to their education.

  • Full-time teaching responsibility within a Reception class
  • Planning, delivering and assessing according to EYFS expectations
  • Creating a purposeful, play-rich learning environment
  • Working collaboratively with the EYFS Lead, teaching team and SLT
  • Building positive, supportive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues
  • Supporting early phonics, early maths, communication and personal development
  • You will work alongside two Teaching Assistants, ensuring excellent support
  • Maintaining a warm, inclusive and well‑organised classroom environment
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching in Early Years, ideally within a Reception setting
  • Secure knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and early childhood development
  • A creative, reflective and child‑centred approach to teaching
  • Strong skills in communication, organisation and collaboration
  • A commitment to promoting independence, curiosity and confidence in young learners
  • A supportive, well‑established EYFS team
  • Two full‑time Teaching Assistants within the Reception class
