Overview

The Cedars Nursing Home - 12 hours per week. Saturday & Sunday 10am until 4pm. At The Cedars Nursing Home, we’re more than just a care home — we’re a family. Our home is a warm, welcoming place where residents are supported to live with comfort, dignity, and joy. We’re proud of our caring team and are now looking for a cheerful, compassionate Reception Host to join us.

The Role
  • Give a warm welcome to residents, families, and visitors
  • Answer phone calls in a friendly, professional way
  • Keep the reception area looking tidy and inviting
  • Help with simple admin tasks
  • Support residents and families with questions or requests
  • Work closely with the care and management teams to keep things running smoothly
About You
  • We’re looking for someone who brings warmth and positivity to every day. You don’t need to have worked in care before — what matters most is your friendly attitude and genuine love of helping others.
  • Enjoys meeting new people and making them feel at home
  • Is kind, patient, and approachable
  • Can stay calm and organised, even when it’s busy
  • Has good communication skills, both face-to-face and over the phone
  • Is confident using basic computer systems

Successful applicants would require two written references, a standard/enhanced DBS (Disclosure Barring Service) (depending on role) and evidence of a right to work in the UK check.
