Job summary

Just Teachers Ltd in Alcester is seeking a warm and enthusiastic Reception Class Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant primary school. You will support the EYFS curriculum through play-based and structured activities, helping children develop foundational skills in phonics, early numeracy, and social development.

Qualifications

• Experience with EYFS in school or nursery.
• Level 2 or 3 Childcare/Teaching Assistant qualification.
• Understanding of child development and safeguarding practices.
• DBS on update service (or willingness to obtain one).
• Availability for full-time work, Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of EYFS curriculum through play-based and structured activities.
• Assist with phonics, early maths, and language development.
• Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with additional needs.
• Help with classroom setup, tidying, and resource preparation.
• Observe and record pupil progress, feeding back to the teacher.
• Support pupils during snack time, outdoor play, and transitions.
