Job Introduction

2gether Support Solutions is a Facilities and Estates services company providing support to healthcare professionals caring for over 2000 patients daily across multiple East Kent hospital sites. 2gether provides vital services including maintenance, cleaning, catering, procurement, logistics and much more.

Receipt and Distribution Operatives are at the heart of the hospital delivery system. Working within the procurement team, they perform a vital role ensuring that the hospital teams have full stocks of crucial materials and equipment. Working within a fast-paced team, you will assist in ordering and storing ward and departmental stocks whilst providing support to customers, clinical and support staff. This is a full time (37.5 hours per week), permanent position. Hours are to be worked Monday - Friday 8am - 4pm.

Main duties of the job
  • Efficient and timely receipt, checking and distribution of goods, complying with procurement procedures
  • Use of manual handling equipment to move heavy loads
  • General office support, inputting data and processing all returns of goods and equipment
  • To use the Purchasing and Finance IT System for online order, distribution and enquiries
  • When required to provide cover for other Receipt & Distribution and Materials sites and to assist, when required, in stocktaking arrangements.
