Job Description

The Real Estate Partner will be:

  1. Leading the strategy and development of the real estate / property practice in Newcastle
  2. Originating and winning high-value real estate mandates (development, investment, landlord/occupier, disposals)
  3. Managing complex transactions, negotiating deals and overseeing execution
  4. Building and leveraging relationships with clients, developers, investors, and institutional contacts
  5. Supervising, mentoring and growing a team of solicitors and associates
  6. Collaborating closely with other practice groups
  7. Setting budgets, billing, profitability targets and performance management
  8. Representing the firm at client, industry, networking and business development events
The Successful Applicant

The Real Estate Partner should be:

  • A partner or equivalent senior legal leader with an established real estate practice
  • Able to bring a strong portfolio of clients, contacts and mandates
  • Experienced in development, investment, landlord / occupier, site acquisition work
  • Skilled in negotiation, strategy, and commercial leadership
  • Proven track record in business development and revenue growth
  • Able to lead, manage and inspire a team, with strong people management skills
  • Have ties to Newcastle upon Tyne
