4–7 PQE | Leading International Law Firm
I'm working with a highly regarded international law firm that is looking to strengthen its London Real Estate team with an Associate or Senior Associate at the 4–7 PQE level.
This is a particularly interesting opportunity for someone who enjoys high-quality commercial property work but is looking for a firm with a genuinely collaborative culture, sensible expectations and a better approach to work-life balance.
The team has an excellent reputation and advises an impressive client base of major corporates, investors, developers and occupiers. The work is varied, covering investment acquisitions and disposals, landlord and tenant matters, corporate occupier work, development projects and portfolio management.
One of the real attractions is that the practice isn't overly reliant on corporate support work. There is a strong flow of standalone real estate transactions, giving associates the opportunity to build a well-rounded practice, develop direct client relationships and take genuine ownership of matters.
The firm has been involved in some significant, high-value real estate transactions, so there is no compromise on the quality or complexity of the work.
What really sets this opportunity apart, however, is the culture.
The firm is known for being approachable, supportive and down-to-earth, with a strong emphasis on teamwork rather than internal competition. Partners are accessible, associates are trusted with responsibility, and there is a genuine focus on developing lawyers over the long term.
It's also a firm that takes a more sensible approach to working hours. While the work is sophisticated and there will naturally be busy periods, the culture is not built around consistently excessive hours or unrealistic expectations.
The team is ideally looking for someone with solid transactional commercial real estate experience, particularly across investment, landlord and tenant, occupier and/or development matters. Someone who enjoys client contact, wants to continue developing technically and commercially, and values being part of a close-knit team would fit in well.
For someone looking to maintain the quality of their work while moving into a more supportive and balanced environment, this is definitely an opportunity worth exploring.
