I'm currently working with a leading national law firm looking to appoint a talented Real Estate Disputes Senior Associate to its established Leeds team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced solicitor with 4+ years' PQE who is looking to take the next step in their career, working on high-quality, complex commercial property disputes within a highly regarded national practice.

You'll work closely with colleagues across the firm's national Real Estate Disputes team, gaining exposure to an impressive client base and a broad range of contentious property matters.

The role offers a fantastic balance of autonomy, collaboration and career development. You'll manage your own caseload, support and supervise junior colleagues, and work alongside experienced senior lawyers on complex matters.

The Work

You’ll advise on the legal and commercial implications of a broad range of contentious real estate matters, including:

• Opposed and unopposed lease renewals under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954
• Dilapidations claims, disputes and settlements
• Restrictive covenants, break options and contractual/statutory notices
• Rights of way, boundary disputes, trespass and nuisance
• Commercial rent arrears, forfeiture and other landlord remedies, including CRAR
• Managing complex property litigation and advising clients on commercially focused dispute resolution strategies
• Supervising junior colleagues and supporting senior lawyers on high-value matters

About You

Ideally, you’ll have 4+ years' PQE with strong technical experience in commercial property litigation, particularly 1954 Act lease renewals, dilapidations, landlord and tenant disputes and property-related court proceedings.

You’ll be commercially minded, confident managing your own caseload and comfortable supporting more junior colleagues.
