JMC Legal Recruitment is seeking a Real Estate Associate Solicitor (1–2 PQE) for a leading West End practice renowned in Legal 500 and Spears rankings. The firm handles commercial and residential property matters, including acquisitions, disposals, development, investments, and landlord-and-tenant work.

The role offers exposure to high-value matters, close Partner mentorship, and a clear progression pathway within a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment in central London.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years' PQE (England & Wales) with experience across commercial and residential real estate.
• Experience of acquisitions, disposals, development and/or landlord and tenant work.
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills.
• Good commercial awareness and an interest in the wider real estate sector.
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
• A collaborative approach and ambition to develop within a growing team.

Responsibilities

• Advise on acquisitions and disposals of commercial, residential, and mixed-use property.
• Handle property investment and development transactions.
• Support residential development, site acquisitions, development agreements, and plot sales.
• Manage commercial and residential landlord and tenant matters.
• Draft and negotiate leases, licences, assignments, surrenders and other property docs.
• Conduct due diligence and address property aspects in investment transactions.
• Contribute to PRS, Build to Rent and mixed-use developments.
• Collaborate with Planning, Construction, Finance, Tax and Corporate teams.
• Build strong client relationships with a commercially focused approach.
