Job summary

UKCIL is seeking a Personal Assistant to support a 13-year-old boy in Weston-super-Mare. The role is full-time equivalent with 4 hours per week during term time and 8 hours per week during school holidays.

Personal Assistant for young person F/T@ £17.15/hr in Weston-super-mare

Personal Assistant Required

I am looking to recruit a Personal Assistant for my 13 year old son.

Hours wanted: 4 hours every week term time and 8 hours per week during the holidays. This person already has a PA that can cover most of the holiday period, so the new PA may only have to cover some weeks. There is flexibility with the hours allocated.

More about the young person: This person has a diagnosis of Autism. He relies on trusted adults to keep him safe and with some elements of self care. This person needs support in a variety of environments to develop independence and his emotional regulation. He enjoys going to the park, shopping, especially The Range, Puxton Park and enjoys swimming. He has a wonderful relationship with his current PA and mum and dad would like the new PA to continue the wonderful support he has received to date. Unfortunately, This person's PA cannot deliver the hours she was previously able to.

Experience needed: This person needs someone who has experience working with children who have disabilities.
