Job summary

Meridian Business Support is recruiting an Office Cleaner for our client in Welwyn Garden City (AL7). This is initially a 3‑month temporary assignment with the potential to continue long term for the right candidate.

You will maintain a clean, safe environment across offices, communal areas, kitchens, toilets and warehouse spaces. Weekdays 7:00am–4:00pm; plus 4 weekend hours on a rota, paid at weekend rate. Immediate start and regular hours offered.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience is essential.
• Willingness to undergo a basic DBS check.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
• Able to work independently and maintain high standards of cleanliness.
• Flexibility to work the alternate weekend rota.

Responsibilities

• Maintain clean, safe, and professional environments across office spaces, communal areas, kitchens and staff facilities, toilets and washrooms.
• Clean and light industrial areas; PPE provided and worn as required.
• Work to the cleaning rota and ensure high standards of hygiene throughout the site.

Pay Rate:

- £13.44 per hour + holiday pay (weekdays)

- £15.00 per hour + holiday pay (weekend hours)

Hours:

- Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 4:00pm

- Plus 4 hours every other weekend as part of the cleaning rota (paid at £15.00 per hour + holiday pay)

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for a Cleaner to join our client's site in Welwyn Garden City. This is initially a 3-month temporary assignment, with the potential to continue on a long-term basis for the right candidate.

You will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and professional environment across a variety of areas, including:

- Commercial office spaces

- Communal areas

- Kitchens and staff facilities

- Toilets and washrooms

- Warehouse areas - light industrial cleaning (PPE must be worn) - this is provided by our client.
