Job summary

Military Provost Guard Service (MPGS) Wales seeks candidates for sUAS Operator roles at selected sites across the region. Units are located at RAF Valley, MPGS St Athan, MPGS Chepstow, with a flexible location assignment based on vacancies.

Entry-level salaries start at £27,816 (Pte) rising to £30,323, with career progression through LCpl up to WO1 (£31,468–£58,309). Benefits include pension, subsidised accommodation, free medical and dental care, 30 days leave, and adventure training.

Military Provost Guard Service (MPGS) WALES

MPGS Chepstow – NP16 7YG

Personnel are assigned under the Military Local Service Engagement (MLSE), which allows individuals to express a preference for location. Final assignment will be determined based on service need and vacancy availability.

The MPGS provides professional soldiers to meet armed security requirements at Royal Navy, Army, RAF and other MOD bases across the UK Mainland. Our primary role is to counter the terrorist threat posed to military bases within the UK

Security incident management

Patrolling site perimeters - Taking necessary action to preserve perimeter security.

Controlling entry and exit - Managing control room and gate operations and ensuring all visitors are dealt with efficiently.

sUAS Operator (selected sites)

Our units are located at over 130 sites across the UK mainland. We have our own Military Local Service Contract which allows soldiers to choose where they wish to serve, providing there is a vacancy.

• Entry level salary £27816 (Pte) incrementally increasing to £30323 (Pte) over 2 years.
• Full career pathway and promotion opportunities available, with a salary range from £31468 (LCpl) to £58309 (WO1).
• Continuation of armed services pension or new pension if in receipt of full military pension already.
• Entitlement to subsidised accommodation (SFA & SLA), free Medical and Dental care, SLC & ELCs.
