Job summary

The Joseph Whitaker School in Rainworth, Mansfield area, is seeking a Head of Mathematics Faculty to lead the mathematics department on a permanent 1.0FTE contract. Salary range is £34,069–£52,835 with a TLR 1B of £12,954.

Head of Mathematics Faculty

Permanent, 1.0FTE

Salary Range: M1 - UPS3: £34,069 - £52,835 plus TLR 1B - £12,954

Location

The Joseph Whitaker School is a popular 11-18 school, in Rainworth, a village just outside of Mansfield. It serves the three local villages of Blidworth, Rainworth and Ravenshead. With 1400 students, we are an 8 form entry school and have a healthy uptake of A level mathematics, we also have an A level Further mathematics course.

Responsibilities

Due to the current post holder having stepped down to a phased retirement we are seeking to appoint a well-qualified and experienced leader to lead our mathematics faculty. This position would be ideal for someone looking for the next step in Middle Leadership, or perhaps looking to broaden their experience. The successful candidate will be passionate about Mathematics at Key stages 3, 4 and 5 and have the ability and drive to develop mathematics’ teaching expertise in others. They will be an excellent leader of people and understand how to secure the very best outcomes for all of our students.

Requirements and Eligibility

The successful candidates will have to meet the requirements of the person specification in order to be offered the post, will be required to undergo a full enhanced DBS check and must be eligible to work in the UK.
