• Answer emergency bells, the door and the telephone; greet visitors.
• Serve meals; assist residents at meal times; wash up utensils.
• Assist a senior member of staff with medication administration.
• Perform other such reasonable duties as may be required.

We are looking for a Care Worker to join our Care Home in Essex Road, Pembroke Dock.

Purpose of the Position:

To share with other staff in meeting the personal care needs of residents in a way that respects the dignity of the individual and promotes independence.

To help in the care of the residents’ physical environment and in the general day-to-day activities of the home.

To take charge of delegated responsibilities for the residents under your care, to the appropriate level.

To help train junior members of staff in all aspects of their work in the home.

Key Responsibilities:

• - Assist residents who need help with dressing, undressing, bathing and using the toilet
• - Help residents with mobility problems and other physical disabilities such as incontinence; help in the care and use of aids and personal equipment
• - Make and change beds; tidy rooms and do light cleaning.
• - Answer emergency bells, the door and the telephone; greet visitors.
• - Serve meals; assist residents at meal times if required; wash up utensils.
• - Assist a senior member of staff who has been assessed as competent with medication administration.
• - To perform other such reasonable duties as may be required.
• -Previous Care Experience is desirable but not essential
• -A reasonable level of numeracy and literacy.
• -Good communication skills, Attention to detail and have a calm approach.
• -Flexible and able to work in a team.
• -Willingness to complete in-house training for this job role.
