Job summary

NRL Ltd is seeking a Senior Quality Delivery Engineer to support major projects in a highly regulated nuclear environment. You will lead QA activities, develop Quality Plans, and coach project teams on quality assurance while ensuring compliance with regulatory and customer requirements.

You will review supplier quality arrangements, drive corrective actions, and monitor quality performance. This role requires ISO 9001 knowledge, CQI accreditation, and strong communication across stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Science or equivalent.
• Experience in nuclear or other highly regulated industries.
• Strong QA principles and QMS knowledge.
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001.
• Experience with audits, inspections, assessments and assurance.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Ability to use root cause analysis techniques.
• CQI membership or equivalent accreditation.
• Knowledge of ISO 17025.
• Experience reviewing supplier quality plans and NDE documentation.

• Review tender and contract docs to ensure quality requirements are met.
• Support the Quality Manager and act as deputy when required.
• Promote a strong quality culture across projects and delivery teams.

Location: Westlakes (Fleswick Court or Dalton Avenue) - Hybrid Working (3 days per week in the office)

The Opportunity We are recruiting for a Senior Quality Delivery Engineer to support the delivery of major projects within a highly regulated nuclear environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced quality professional to play a key role in ensuring compliance with customer, regulatory, and business requirements while driving continual improvement across project delivery and the supply chain.

Working closely with project teams and quality management, you will provide expert guidance on quality assurance activities, lead assurance programmes, review supplier quality arrangements, and support the successful delivery of critical engineering projects.

Key Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Science, or equivalent technical qualification.
• Experience within the nuclear sector or another highly regulated industry such as defence, aerospace, oil & gas, or power generation.
• Strong understanding of quality assurance principles and quality management systems.
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001.
• Experience of audits, inspections, assessments, or assurance activities.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to investigate quality issues using root cause analysis techniques.
• Chartered Quality Institute (CQI) membership or equivalent professional accreditation.
• Knowledge of ISO 17025.
• Experience reviewing supplier quality plans, welding procedures, quality control plans, and NDE documentation.
• Understanding of UK nuclear quality requirements and regulations.

Additional Information

• Hybrid working arrangement with 3 days per week on site.
• Travel may be required to support project and supplier activities.
• Dual nationals will be considered subject to nationality and security requirements.
• Role is not subject to trade controls.

This position would suit candidates currently working as a Senior Quality Engineer, Quality Assurance Engineer, Quality Delivery Engineer, Supplier Quality Engineer, Quality Lead, or Quality Manager within regulated engineering environments.
