Job summary

EQUANS Digital is seeking a Mobile Service BMS Engineer to join our team covering Northampton and surrounding areas on a full-time basis. You’ll maintain Building Management Systems, respond to breakdowns, and contribute to energy efficiency improvements across client sites.

You’ll bring City & Guild / BTEC / NVQ in Electrical or BEMS and hands-on experience with HVAC/mechanical systems, plus a full UK driving license. On-call work is part of the role with financial benefits.

Qualifications

• HVAC and mechanical systems knowledge for commercial environments.
• City & Guild / BTEC / NVQ in Electrical or BEMS is required.
• BPSS vetting and full UK driving license are required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventative maintenance on BMS systems across multiple sites.
• Respond to reactive calls and participate in on-call rota with financial benefits.
• Assist with continuous improvement including reports and cost estimates for system enhancements.

Equans is looking for a Mobile Service BMS Engineer to join our Digital business, covering parts of Northampton and the surrounding areas on a full time basis. Supported by an ambitious 5-year growth strategy and projects ranging up to £1.5m, we are looking for a team to help us grow sustainably. We also offer excellent opportunities to develop beyond the Service Engineer role, enabling employees that wish to grow with us and move into Operational Management, Project Management, Estimating and Business Development.

Key activities:

• Preventative Maintenance: Carrying out scheduled maintenance checks on BMS systems and components to ensure smooth operation across various sites.
• Reactive Calls: Responding to breakdowns when things go wrong. This role involves participating in a reactive call-out rota, which includes additional financial benefits for on-call availability and attendance.
• Continuous Improvement: Working with other engineer colleagues to help make recommendations to our clients to enhance system performance and energy efficiency. This will require teams to complete thorough reports and build up clear cost estimates & quotes for system enhancements.

Skills, Qualifications & Experience

• City & Guild / BTEC / NVQ in Electrical or BEMS
• Knowledge and Experience of at least one of the following (additional training can be provided depending on the area requirements at a later date):
