Job summary

Wildcard UK Limited is offering an entry-level role in the growing telecoms and fibre optic industry with full training provided. No previous experience is required, and you will learn on the job while contributing to real network projects.

You will assist with installation of network infrastructure, underground/overhead cabling, and supporting facilities, with opportunities for progression within a locally focused, dynamic company. Some out-of-hours work is possible.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; full training provided.

Responsibilities

• Installation of network infrastructure, including external underground/overhead telecoms cabling, internal cable installation, and supporting infrastructure (e.g. splices, fibre terminals, patch panels, cabinets).
• Assist with underground telecoms duct surveys and route proving based on existing duct network plans, rode and roping activities, and network planning.
• Report progress, defects, and blockages to the operations team.
• Installation of high-speed radio links, working from a MEWP (Cherry-picker) or on roof-tops.
• Assist with installation/maintenance projects and general housekeeping within our datacentre/network facilities.
• The role will involve some out of normal hours working.
