Job summary

ICTS (UK) Limited is seeking reliable and tech-savvy Security Officers to protect the premises and people across our Data Centre sites in the Newport and Cardiff area. You will work a 4 on / 4 off pattern with 12-hour shifts, covering day and night queues.

You will be involved in access control, patrols, alarms, CCTV monitoring, incident reporting, and first-aid if needed, in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and calm professionalism are required.

Qualifications

• SIA Door Supervision (DS) or Security Guarding (SG) license is essential.
• Five years' checkable history and references.
• Pass a criminal records check (CRC) to required standards.
• Excellent communication, organisation and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
• Experience in a customer-facing role, ideally in security.

Responsibilities

• Manage access control for buildings and car-parks - for employees, visitors, and contractors.
• Patrol the buildings, car parks, and grounds to deter and detect problems.
• Check and challenge ID passes with a professional and friendly approach.
• De-activate and activate alarms, and unlock and lock buildings, rooms, external barriers and gates to ensure that no unauthorised personnel or hazards are on site.
• Fire, security and building systems monitoring, including CCTV.
• Identify and report Health & Safety issues and carrying out first aid if necessary.
• Responding to customer requests and queries
• Maintaining records including incident reports using computer- and paper-based systems

ICTS are looking for reliable and technology savvy Security Officers to ensure the security and safety of premises and people amongst the sites of our Data Centre client in the Newport and Cardiff area.

You’ll be required to work a 4 on / 4 off shift pattern working 12-hour shifts, encompassing both days and nights.

An experienced Security Officer, you will carry out a range of duties in a modern and fast paced environment, including:

• Managing access control for buildings and car-parks - for employees, visitors, and contractors.


• Patrolling the buildings, car parks, and grounds to deter and detect problems.
