Job summary

The Best Connection Group Limited is seeking an experienced Class 2 driver to operate a HGV, collect and deliver stainless steel products from the warehouse to customers and sites.

You will follow pre-planned routes with multi-drop runs and maintain vehicle safety checks before and after driving, reporting defects and keeping accurate delivery paperwork. Customer interaction is valued, and unloading help may be required to ensure goods reach the correct location safely.

Qualifications

• Class 2 HGV driving experience required.
• Driver CPC qualification preferred.
• Good customer-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Class 2 HGV to collect and deliver goods.

Job description

£15.00 per hour, 50 hours per week Monday - Friday

Salary circa £42,000 per annum when permanent

Operate a Class 2 HGV vehicle to collect and deliver goods - stainless steel products or other material from the warehouse to customers or other sites.

Follow pre-planned delivery routes, doing

multi-drop runs where several customers are served in one shift.

Vehicle Checks & Compliance

• Perform

vehicle safety checks before and after driving.

• Report any defects or maintenance issues.
• Ensure compliance with driver regulations (tachograph, CPC, driving hours).
• Complete delivery paperwork accurately (e.g., proof of delivery, logs).
• Use handheld devices or systems to track progress and capture signatures.

Customer Interaction

• Represent the company professionally when greeting customers.
• Help unload deliveries if required and ensure goods are safely delivered to the correct location
