Job summary

HTG-UK in King's Lynn is seeking an Ambulance Care Assistant to join our field-based team. You will drive and support patients to healthcare appointments, assist with mobility, and provide compassionate care during every journey, while upholding safety, dignity and patient confidentiality.

We provide two weeks of comprehensive training, enhanced DBS on onboarding, right to work checks, a full UK driving licence, and ongoing development within a values-driven, safeguarding-focused environment

Responsibilities

  • Patient Transport & Care - Safely drive patients to and from healthcare appointments while providing reassurance, support, and compassionate care throughout their journey.
  • Assisting with Mobility - Helping patients with mobility needs, including safe lifting, use of specialist equipment, and transferring patients to and from vehicles or their homes.
  • Communication & Compassion - Communicating clearly and kindly with patients, families, and healthcare staff, maintaining dignity, respect, and patient confidentiality at all times.
  • Vehicle Checks & Basic Administration - Carrying out daily vehicle checks, keeping all equipment clean and ready in line with Infection Prevention and Control procedures, and ensuring that any incidents and/or journey details are accurately recorded as required.

Summary Of Main Duties Include:

Patient Transport & Care - Safely drive patients to and from healthcare appointments while providing reassurance, support, and compassionate care throughout their journey.
