Job summary

Connect Driver Solutions Ltd is recruiting HGV Class 1 Drivers for a retail distribution client on the outskirts of Inverness at Dalcross. The role is a 7-day operation with trunking to the Central Belt and storefront deliveries.

You will work any 5 days out of 7, with a choice of day or back shift; the back shift pays a higher rate. Duties include unloading cages and ensuring loads are secure, with occasional Class 2 cover when required.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence held for minimum 6 months.
• CPC and Digital Tachograph cards required.
• No more than 6 points on licence; no DR, DD, DG, CD, IN or TT endorsements.
• Willingness to cover Class 2 work when available.

Responsibilities

• Trunking to the Central Belt and delivering to storefronts.
• Unload cages from the back of the trailer at each drop.
• Ensure loads are safe and secure throughout transit.
• Cover Class 2 work when required.

HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our retail distribution client based on the

outskirts of

Our client runs a 7-day operation out of Dalcross, with work ranging from trunking down to the Central Belt through to store deliveries. You'll work any 5 days out of 7, with a choice of day or back shift and a higher rate on backs.

What's on offer?

• Ongoing position, working any 5 days out of 7

Day shift: £19.15 to £21.46 per hour (paid weekly)

Back shift: £20.00 to £22.41 per hour (paid weekly)

• A mix of trunking and store delivery work

As an HGV Class 1 Driver, your duties will include:

• Trunking to the Central Belt and delivering to storefronts
• Unloading cages from the back of the trailer at each drop
• Ensuring loads are safe and secure throughout
• Covering Class 2 work when required

To be considered as an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will need:

• A valid Class 1 (C+E) licence held for a minimum of 6 months
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph cards
• No more than 6 points on your licence, with no DR, DD, DG, CD, IN or TT endorsement codes
• A willingness to cover Class 2 work when available
