Triumph Consultants Ltd seeks an Interim Environmental Health Officer (Food) to inspect and regulate food businesses, respond to concerns, and lead investigations on food safety and infectious diseases. We're looking for an experienced Environmental Health Officer to join a professional Food, Health & Safety team, helping protect public health through inspection, investigation, advice and enforcement.
You’ll inspect and regulate food businesses, respond to public concerns, investigate food safety and infectious disease issues, provide technical advice and take appropriate enforcement action where required. Depending on experience, this may include working with higher-risk premises, complex investigations, sampling, legal notices and prosecution work.
CIEH-accredited Environmental Health qualification (MSc, BSc (Hons) or Diploma).
Current competence in delivering interventions under the Food Law Code of Practice (2021).
Strong knowledge of food safety, health & safety legislation, codes of practice and enforcement powers.
Excellent investigation, analytical, communication, negotiation and report-writing skills.
Ability to assess risks, make sound professional decisions and secure compliance.
For senior grades, experience of complex investigations, enforcement action, food safety management systems and court/prosecution work is required.
